FAQ

How to Complete Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) Verification - Bank Deposit on Bitget

Why is EDD required?

To enhance the account security and to reduce the trading risk in fiat services, our partner channel will require Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) documents from users during deposit/withdrawal process of bank transfer.

Users now can submit EDD directly on [Bank Deposit] page when it is required (a window will pop up during a progress of bank deposit order). Alternatively, [Click Here] to submit your required documents for review.

What are the EDD documents?

You are required to upload the supporting documents by following these steps to complete your EDD verification:

Step 1: Secondary Identification Document

The Secondary Identification Document must be of a different type than the document used for identity verification on Bitget. For example, if you used a passport for identity verification on Bitget, you will need to upload a different type of document, excluding the passport. Supported document types include: national ID card, passport and driver's license.

Step 2: Bank Statements

Bitget requires the past three months of bank statement and it must match with your name on the identity document. This bank account should also be the one from which deposits and withdrawals are conducted. The statement must include the "Bank Name", "Account Name", "Account Number", and transaction type, with proof of income for each transaction.

Step 3: Proof of income

All transactions and account name must match with your Bitget's identity verification. The documents of accepted proof of income will include: salary/pay-slips, real estate sales transaction contracts, car sales transaction contracts, last year's tax payment report, income statements from checking/saving/investment accounts, and value-added tax/tax income records, among others.

Step 4: Others

Additionally, other supporting documents such as proof of address: utility bills like fixed phone bills, energy/internet bills, etc are acceptable on this EDD application.

After all required documents are submitted, click [Submit] and our partner channel will review before approving your fiat deposit/withdrawal. More EDD / info maybe required again if result is failed. For such, users may click on [Refund] button to cancel the order especially for some users who are unable to provide EDD.

Will the deposit/withdrawal limit increase after completing EDD?

Not necessarily. However, for subsequent orders of fiat deposit/withdrawal, our partner channel may request users to provide other supporting documents for a next review.

Note: Do not make deposit with accounts which is not the same name as your verification documents. Otherwise, the deposit asset will be refunded and you may be charged for the refund fees.
