What to do in a P2P order dispute?

What should you do when time is running out and your order is still pending?
Let's assume, you are buying USDT from a merchant. You have transferred money to the merchant but the merchant has not released USDT to your wallet.
1. Click on the "Paid" button after transferring money
After transferring money to a merchant, you must click on the "Paid" button.

In this case, you can chat with merchants through the chat box and push them to release USDT.

3. File an appeal and submit
If the merchant does not respond or does not co-operate or says that he did not receive any payment, then after the order time has run out, you can click on "File an appeal" button.
Choose the type of appeal, describe the reason for appeal and click on the "Submit appeal" button.
Never cancel an order or appeal without receiving a refund from the merchant.

4. Customer support enter the P2P chat
Once you have raised an appeal, you can go back to the chat box. Our customer support executive will enter the P2P chat with users and merchants.
Merchants will also be asked to provide the video in a similar manner.
Customer support will verify and will make a decision after communicating with both parties.
If a party is not co-operating or not responding to customer support, then the decision will not be in favour of a non-cooperative party.

5. Anti phishing note
Here are some notes when meeting a P2P order dispute:
  • If you are selling your USDT to a merchant on the SELL page, then you should never release USDT without confirming the reception of payment in the banking app by yourself.
  • If a merchant insists you to release crypto without transferring money, you should file an appeal.
  • Bitget customer support will never ask you to release USDT without receiving payment for any reason.
  • Do not share your email address with any merchant or user while trading on P2P.
  • Please set up an anti phishing code and only trust emails from Bitget which has your anti phishing code.
